The Ultimate Mom Challenge™

This Month I’m a _______ Mom.

What kind of mom do I want to be? This is a question I ask myself every single day. Sure, I want to be nurturing and involved in my toddler and soon-to-be newborn’s lives. But I also want to be a rockin wife, a fitness guru, the next Sheryl Sandberg, and a travel maven. And that’s just on a Monday. ORGANIZED

So I created the Ultimate Mom Challenge™.

The Challenge: Each month I’ll choose one characteristic I want to build upon to help me be the best mom I can be. I will determine four goals to help me carve that path, and I’ll report back on my successes and (undoubted) failures, too.

Starting in January (holy cow, that’s in three days), I’ll announce the book and the goals for the month. The theme for January will be I am an ORGANIZED mom.

The Monthly Goals:

  1. Read a relevant, popular book on the subject and start taking action as I read
  2. Determine one goal I want to achieve by the end of the month
  3. Try one new activity that may help me accomplish my goal
  4. Determine how I will involve the husband and kids so it’s a family experience, or at least, family benefit

Wish me luck. Even better, join me on my journey! I’ve created a Facebook and Pinterest page. I would love feedback and recommendations.

Part of me thinks I’m crazy for doing this more than halfway through my pregnancy, and with a toddler running around. And the rest of me says, “If not now, WHEN???”

I have two days to finalize the book on organization I want to read. I do have one in mind, but if you have a suggestion, please let me know!
