I was laid off from work on the last day of 2015. Way to end the year with a bang, right? The real zinger is I am more than six months pregnant. Which means I have to start my job hunt with a little more “baggage” than most.

This is new terrain for me. I’m nervous, hesitant, and a little curious with what I’ll learn in the coming months. Will the job market be open to me? Or will I feel the tension the minute I walk into the interview with my burgeoning belly?

Let’s hope so! I know my company will provide excellent recommendations, so I’m grateful to have that in my back pocket. But first I’ve got to line up the interviews. Networking, here I come!
