The Ultimate Mom Challenge™
The Challenge: Each month I’ll choose one characteristic I want to build upon to help me be the best mom I can be. I will determine four goals to help me carve that path, and I’ll report back on my successes and (undoubted) failures, too. In April, my theme is MINDFUL.
April Goals:
1. Read a relevant, popular book on the subject and start taking action as I read. April Pick (affiliate link): The Power of Now
3. Try one new activity that may help me accomplish my goal. April activity: Meditate for 10-15 minutes every day
4. Determine how I will involve the husband and kids so it’s a family experience, or at least, family benefit. April plan: One screen free night a week with my husband, and less phone checking when I’m doing activities with my son.
I’m having a baby this month so it’s no coincidence I timed “mindfulness” to April. If there’s any reason to practice being present and aware, it’s a newborn. That being said, I decided to keep my goals relatively simple and not go too hard on myself if I screw up. Having a baby is stressful enough, I don’t need to add to it.
This month, I am a MINDFUL mom.
