Mother of the year I am not. The truth is on any given day I designate myself the world’s crappiest mom.
But I am their mom. Which also makes me the luckiest mom.
I don’t always know what I’m doing but I do know I will do anything to support my kids and help them grow to be their best selves. Which makes me the most driven mom.
And when push comes to shove I would jump in front of planes, trains, and automobiles for my children. Whether it’s to move them forward, or the death by 1000 cuts just trying to get them through a page of homework.
Which makes me the most hard-working mom.
I will make time for me… I’ll put my oxygen mask on first and I know when I need to sit them in front of the tube so I can take a breather. Which makes me the most relatable mom.
And every so often, my kids say or do something so beautiful and precious, it reminds me that while many days may feel thankless, being there mom is the greatest gift on earth.
Which, in fact, makes me the best mom.
I am the BEST mom for my kids.
